Five Products I’m Loving: 2nd Edition

I write about all kinds of topics on this blog — mostly, whatever is top of mind for me that week.  I always find it interesting the posts people will be drawn to the most or the ones people will later send me notes about.  It really surprised me that friends have mentioned some of the items on my Five Products I’m Loving post even months after I shared it.  So I figured I’d share another round of things I can’t live without.

*****

Lancôme Moderato Lipstick:  I love lipstick.  I oftentimes don’t wear it because I drink a lot of water and don’t want it to get on my water bottle, but I think everyone just looks prettier with lipstick on.  When I saw Lancôme was having a gift with purchase situation going on and I was in a mood where I felt like I couldn’t live without the make-up bag they were giving away, I decided to splurge the $32 for this lipstick.  It’s the perfect combination of red/pink/orange.  It makes me feel pretty . . . and I do in fact love the free make-up bag I got with it.

Subjekt Petite Earbuds:  When earbuds became popular and included with your first iPhone purchase, I so desperately wanted to look cool when wearing them.  The reality is, the standard size fall right out of my ears.  I can’t workout or even move around if I have regular sized earbuds in without cramming them in to the point they hurt my ears.  I was so happy to find petite sized earbuds, and, they’re only $19.99!  They also have a microphone so if you’re out for a walk as I often am and someone calls, you can answer and keep them in while chatting it up.

Beachbody On Demand:  If you’re on social media, you likely know a friend who is a Beachbody Coach — selling products that help you stay in tip top shape.  I am not a Beachbody Coach, but have several friends that are and one who encouraged me to purchase Beachbody on Demand.  It’s a subscription that allows me to access all of the Beachbody workout videos on my laptop or phone.  This includes popular workouts like 21 Day Fix, PiYo, Insanity, P90X, and many more.  At the time, it was $99 for a year which is a steal for the value.  If you’re short on time or motivation for driving to the gym, you can push play on any of these 30 minutes videos and get in a great workout.  Let one of your Beachbody coach friends know you’re interested and they’ll give you the scoop.

Young Living Peppermint Oil:  If you’re not into essential oils, what have you been doing the last couple years while the rest of us were diffusing lavender and sage and rosewood into our homes?!  My favorite essential oil is peppermint.  I am prone to having an underlying blah/nausea feeling, especially when I travel . . . and don’t even make me ride in the backseat of a car for more than an hour or I’ll complain about being dizzy.  I put a few drops of peppermint oil on my fingers and then put it behind my ears before I fly or if I feel a little sick.  I also use it in a diffuser and it makes the house smell great.  It’s so refreshing and a little goes a long way.  If you purchase from Young Living you do have to join as a distributor, but have no obligation to sell products or build a team — you’re essentially joining and then receive a discount on future products.

Skechers Cleo Sass Ballet FlatsThese shoes may not be the trendies in the whole wide world, but I bought them for work since I walk between buildings a lot and I have a desk that I can move up with a push of a button and make it a stand-up desk.  These shoes have so much cushion on the inside and they are so comfortable!  It’s like wearing slippers.  I have some that are black/gray and am seriously considering ordering another pair!  The website says they’re $60, but I found them for half the cost on Amazon.
