Five Products I’m Loving: 5th Edition

Occasionally I like to share items I’ve purchased that I’m loving in case you’re shopping for yourself or need a gift idea for someone.  Here’s the latest on things that were so worth the money!

*****

Urban Decay Lash Primer – ($22)  I was skeptical at first because it’s basically white mascara that you put on before your real mascara.  The white part made me nervous.  But as soon as you put your real mascara on over it you can’t see the white at all.  Use this about a minute before you put on your real mascara and I feel like it really works in making your lashes look longer!

Bath & Body Works Winter Candle – ($24.50)  It seems every year I end up finding one new scented candle from Bath & Body I like for that winter season, and this year, it happens to be the one called “Winter.”  I feel like it smells like the holidays, but also smells very clean.  You could burn this in January and February without it smelling too “Christmasy.”

Christmas Tree Storage Bag – ($45ish) We have two Christmas trees and one of them I acquired from my mom . . . but it came without a box.  I ordered a Christmas tree bag on Amazon and it was the smartest purchase I made for Christmas storage!  The one I purchased has wheels and a handle so once we get it up from the basement, it’s easy to drag into the room we want to set it up in.  Save yourself the misery of broken box handles and order a bag that will fit your tree.

Wrapping Paper Storage – ($25)  While we’re on the topic of Christmas storage . . . I bought one of these storage containers for wrapping paper last year and nearly forgot how organized I was until I got it back out this year.  I bought mine at The Container Store, but have linked to a similar one on Amazon.  There’s pockets for tape, tags, etc.  This will keep all those loose rolls of paper and scraps and small bows and things from being spread and smashed everywhere and it’ll make you want to actually wrap presents vs. use bags when you remember you bought it the following year.

Weighted Blanket – ($129)  Chris got me a weighted blanket for Christmas.  I’ve had my eye on one since a friend recommended it.  They (whoever “they” is) says it reduces anxiety and helps you sleep better.  I don’t suffer from anxiety, but I’m always up for something that is comfortable and helps sleep . . . plus, our bedding is very lightweight and I kept feeling like I needed something a little heavier at night.  You are supposed to order one that is 10% of your body weight.  The one I have is 15lbs.  I love it, but I will say if you sleep with it on and have to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night, suddenly that blanket feels like a 100lbs when you’re trying to move it on and off in the dark.  But if you have sleeping problems or anxiety, give one of these a try!
